Steve Baruch provides members of the firm's Energy Practice with analysis of energy regulatory issues before the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state public utility commissions (PUCs), and federal and state courts. Steve provides clients with in-depth research on a wide variety of federal energy policy issues before the FERC, including electric, hydropower, natural gas and oil pipeline issues. Steve has worked closely with FERC staff, officials at the Department of Energy, as well as other federal agencies and state commissions. Prior to joining Van Ness Feldman in 1998, Steve was Senior Legal Assistant in two major law firms where he focused on electric and gas regulatory matters.
