Benjamin Schultz is an associate in the firm’s environmental practice, where he draws on his legal and technical experience to support clients across a broad range of environmental and natural resources matters.
During law school, Ben served as a law clerk in the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he worked on enforcement matters involving the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). He also interned for the Honorable Mark R. Colombell at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Prior to law school, Ben worked as a chemical engineer supporting the Navy’s explosives manufacturing operations. In that role, he provided hazard analysis, site approval, and project management support for high-risk manufacturing processes. This experience informs his approach to complex and technical environmental matters.
Ben graduated from William & Mary Law School, where he completed an Environmental Law concentration and served as a Lead Articles Editor of the William & Mary Law Review and President of the Student Environmental & Animal Law Society.
