VNF Solutions' Melinda Meade Meyers Selected as National Park Hospitality Association's Next Executive Director

August 30, 2022

We are pleased to announce that Melinda (Mindy) Meade Meyers, Of Counsel with our Land, Water, and Natural Resources practice, has been selected to serve as the next Executive Director of the National Park Hospitality Association (NPHA).

NPHA represents businesses that provide the more than 100 million annual national park visitors with National Park Service-approved and supervised services that include lodging, food, transportation, retail and recreation and guiding services in more than 100 park units.

“Mindy stood out among a number of very qualified candidates for NPHA Executive Director,” said NPHA Chairman Scott Socha, group president of Delaware North’s parks and resorts division.

“Intelligence, passion for parks and a solid grounding in park concessioner issues made consensus on her selection simple. We have now had outstanding discussions with her about NPHA’s future, including implementation of now-pending new regulations and cooperative efforts with the National Park Service on key issues such as employee housing, visitor and transportation management and modernizing key park features such as campgrounds,” Mr. Socha said.

In conjunction with Mindy’s selection, NPHA also selected VNF Solutions LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Van Ness Feldman, LLP, to provide the organization with key association management, administrative, and government relations services.

Van Ness Feldman has provided counsel to National Park Service concessioners for more than 40 years on the highly specialized legal, regulatory, and strategic business issues that play a critical role in facilitating visitor enjoyment and use of our national parks, national forests, and other federal land areas.  Clients represent a diverse range of services including: lodging, marinas, food and beverage, merchandising/retail, outfitting and guiding (whitewater rafting, scenic float trips, and other), cruise ships, tour vessels, ferries, watersports, and camping.  Mindy is, and will continue to be, Of Counsel to the firm.
