Tanya is an associate in our Seattle office where she represents both public and private clients with various land use and environmental permitting matters. Her work focuses on helping clients navigate regulatory approval processes and supporting development and infrastructure projects subject to state and local land use requirements. Tanya is skilled in supporting clients during administrative hearings arising from regulatory frameworks including SEPA disputes and water right adjudications.
In addition to her private practice, as a first-generation Latina lawyer, Tanya is committed to giving back to her community in a variety of ways including providing pro bono services for the QLaw Foundation of Washington and helping underserved communities through environmental advocacy. In law school, she was a student clinician with the Regulatory Environmental Law and Policy Clinic at the University of Washington School of Law and was an extern for Chief Justice Steven Gonzales at the Washington State Supreme Court.
