Marianne Helms is a member of Van Ness Feldman's government relations practice and manages former Congressman Norm Dicks and former Senator Mary Landrieu. Along with scheduling, Marianne monitors, reports on, evaluates, and provides analysis of issues of interest and Congressional activity relevant to their clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Marianne held several positions including press assistant in the Clinton White House and the State Department under Secretary Madeline Albright. She has traveled extensively with both the President and Secretary of State. She was also involved in both the George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton Inaugurals. Marianne has served as Chief of Staff to Janet Langhart Cohen as well as John McLaughlin of The McLaughlin Group; and has extensive experience in the Washington, DC, private sector.

Marianne’s most recent role was as Director of Government Relations at Denny Miller Associates. In her nearly five-year tenure there, she served clients by monitoring legislative activity, researching client issues, and writing background papers.
