Grant brings over 15 years of experience in legislative and regulatory affairs at the state, federal, and international levels. He has a proven track record of success advising elected leaders on Capitol Hill, Cabinet ministers, and C-suite executives on issues related to appropriations, energy, and environmental policy. His deep expertise in politics, policy, and communications allows him to help clients identify legislative and regulatory opportunities and craft strategies that successfully advance their goals.

Grant’s policy career began in the U.S. Senate, where he worked for Senate Democratic Leader Charles E. Schumer of New York, overseeing the Senator’s appropriations and grants portfolio. He went on to serve as the lead appropriations, energy, and natural resources policy advisor to Congressman Ron Barber (D-AZ) and as Legislative Director to Congresswoman Norma Torres (D-CA), managing her work on the House Natural Resources Committee. After his time on Capitol Hill, Grant held government affairs roles at the British Embassy in Washington and Underwriters Laboratories, focusing on federal funding, energy, and natural resources policy and regulation.

  • Experience

    • Helped Leader Schumer unlock key FEMA aid and emergency supplemental appropriations for the State of New York in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Sandy, one of the largest natural disasters in the state’s history.
    • Led advocacy efforts on behalf of the UK that led to increased support on Capitol Hill for a UK-US free trade agreement post-Brexit.
    • Drafted bipartisan, public-private partnership infrastructure seed grant program that was incorporated into a Surface Transportation Reauthorization bill.
    • Submitted comments in response to the Biden Administration’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Grant Program proposed rule that led to the creation of business demand drivers.
