Ellie is an associate in the firm’s Litigation, Enforcement, and Investigations practice, where she represents public, private, and tribal clients in complex environmental and natural resources litigation before federal and state courts. Her practice includes matters involving the Clean Water Act (CWA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), and energy-related enforcement actions.

Before joining the firm, Ellie served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Anthony Johnstone of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where she gained valuable insight into appellate litigation strategy and judicial decision-making.

While at the University of Chicago Law School, Ellie worked at the Abrams Environmental Law Clinic. She also completed a summer clerkship with Advocates for the West and an externship with the Sierra Club, contributing to NEPA and CWA litigation. Ellie also worked as a research assistant, focusing on energy law and electric utilities.
