David advises clients across a wide range of commercial real estate and financing transactions. He represents financial institutions and lenders in the areas of real estate, construction, and asset-based lending.

David is well-versed in handling real estate purchases and sales, as well as representing developers and owners through the construction and development of multifamily residences, retail outlets, industrial sites, and mixed-use facilities. He has significant experience in commercial leasing, providing counsel to both tenants and landlords across a range of projects, encompassing office, retail, and industrial leases. He also advises clients on complex real property and natural resources transactions, and continuously works with heavily regulated, publicly owned, or aquatic lands.

  • Experience
    • Assisted in the representation of a client acquisition and financing of more than 40 multifamily properties in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
    • Counseled one of the largest insurance companies in the United States in the negotiation of office and retail leases.
    • Assisted in the representation of both borrowers and lenders in commercial loans secured by senior health care facilities, multifamily projects, hotels, student housing, retail shopping centers, and condominium projects.
    • Represented sellers of medical office building sites, multifamily projects, and industrial portfolios.
    • Advised a government transportation agency in a variety of compliance matters.
    • Represented a financial institution in a wide range of Pacific Northwest real estate matters involving timberland and forestry, zoning, subdivision, historic preservation, and property development across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Served as real estate counsel to a rapidly growing port district in Washington for more than 2 million square feet of planned industrial and retail development, including Master Plan updates, land acquisition, permitting, and environmental review.
    • Represented an independent power producer in real estate transactions and supporting title, survey, and access matters for large-scale solar and battery energy storage projects in Washington.
    • Served as real estate counsel to a publicly traded homebuilder on large scale residential developments across Washington State, advising on land acquisitions, permitting, and construction.
    • Represented land trusts in acquisition of properties for conservation purposes
