Van Ness Feldman has represented the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation (CSKT) for the past several years, assisting CSKT with their September 2015 acquisition of the Se̓liš Ksanka Ql̓ispe̓ Hydroelectric Project (SKQ Project; formerly known as the “Kerr Project”) and ongoing regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters relating to CSKT’s ownership and operation of the SKQ Project. The SKQ Project is a 194 MW hydro project located on Flathead Lake in Montana.

Van Ness Feldman continues to assist CSKT with ongoing matters associated with the operation of the SKQ Project, including power sales contracts, interconnection arrangements, water rights issues, and development of new business opportunities in the electric markets.
