Chris Hanson is an associate in the firm’s Energy Regulatory practice, where he represents clients on a broad range of federal regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Chris brings valuable experience from his time as an Attorney Advisor in FERC’s Office of Administrative Law Judges, where he researched complex legal issues in electric and natural gas ratemaking proceedings, drafted legal memoranda, and advised administration law judges in developing findings of facts and conclusions of law. Earlier in his career, he served as a legal extern in FERC’s Office of Administration Litigation, where he supported FERC Trial Staff case teams in preparing for settlement negotiations and drafting pleadings.

Chris earned his J.D. from The George Washington Law School, where he was the Energy Bar Association (EBA) Brief Liaison on the Journal of Energy & Environmental Law Editorial Board and was a member of the Corporate & Business Law Society.
