Van Ness Feldman's Kyle Danish Quoted in Point Carbon Article on New Offset Legislation Being Considered in Congress

In an article regarding new offset legislation being considered by Congress, Kyle Danish comments on one of the proposals recently introduced. In reference to the Waxman-Markey bill introduced last week, Mr. Danish said, "the Waxman-Markey bill suggests there is a “viable future for CERs (certified emissions reductions),” credits from the CDM program." He pointed out that the House bill’s offset provision enables the use of international offsets, provided that the projects generating the credits pass an additional “screen” by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
