Van Ness Feldman Elects Two New Members in Natural Gas, Hydropower Practice Areas

Van Ness Feldman is pleased to announce that Robert F. Christin and Charles R. Sensiba have become Members of the firm, effective January 1, 2008. 

Mr. Christin focuses his practice on issues related to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) jurisdiction over the natural gas industry, including matters under the Natural Gas Act, Natural Gas Policy Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and other relevant statutes.  He came to Van Ness Feldman in 2004 after 27 years of service at FERC, culminating in his tenure as Assistant General Counsel for Energy Projects. 

Mr. Sensiba joined the firm in 1999 and concentrates his practice on issues related to the hydropower industry, including matters under the Federal Power Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, and other relevant statutes.  Mr. Sensiba serves as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Hydro Committee, is a member of the National Hydropower Association and actively participates in NHA’s Regulatory Affairs Committee and Legal Affairs Task Force.

Mr. Christin, 61, received his J.D. cum laude from DePaul University College of Law in 1975 and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English and American Literature from Brown University in 1969.  He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of Illinois.

Mr. Sensiba, 36, received his J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1999 and graduated cum laude from the University of Utah in 1995.  He is admitted to practice in Colorado and the District of Columbia.
