Bill Van Ness Featured in History of Washington State

Bill Van Ness, a founding member of Van Ness Feldman, is featured in an on line encyclopedia of Washington state and local history created by HistoryLink.org.  Prior to forming the firm along with current Chairman Howard Feldman, Lynn Sutcliffe, and Charles Curtis, Bill served as Special Counsel to the Senate’s Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs (now the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources).  During his tenure, Bill structured the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, drafted the template for the National Environmental Protection Act, and played a leadership role in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Authorization Act and the Energy Policy Conservation Act.
