As part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, non-federal entities receiving federal financial assistance are now subject to new “Buy American” requirements for infrastructure projects, which includes construction materials and manufactured products used in electric transmission and distribution facilities as well as water conveyance systems. Review the core Buy American requirements, the basis and scope of waivers that may be obtained, and how the Department of Energy and other federal agencies are implementing these requirements.
