Cellulosic Biofuels

Representing the Cellulosic Biofuel Working Group in its successful effort to create a $1.01 per gallon tax credit, under the Farm, Nutrition, and Bioenergy Act of 2007, for the production of cellulosic biofuels.

Small Hydropower Projects

Professionals from Van Ness Feldman were involved in promulgating regulations targeted at small hydropower projects and advocating for such projects' eligibility for production tax credits.

Section 48A

The firm assisted a client in drafting an application for an advanced coal project tax credit to support the development of their coal gasification facility in California. The Internal Revenue Service recently awarded the client the entire $103 million tax credit sought for the project.

Section 48C 

The firm managed the successful application for a competitively awarded Section 48C manufacturing tax credit for a client in the Pacific Northwest under the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Smart Grid Investment Grants

Van Ness Feldman aided multiple clients in securing more than $350 million in Smart Grid Investment Grant Funding under the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Waste-to-Energy

The firm represented a waste-to-energy company in their successful effort to qualify waste-to-energy generation facilities as eligible for a production tax credit under Section 45 of the Internal Revenue Code in the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004.
