Ben Yamagata, Executive Director of the Coal Utilization Research Council (CURC), recently sat down for an interview on E&E TV’s
OnPoint, where he discussed why he feels the Obama administration’s new coal plant policies will discourage greater movement on developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. In terms of how close the industry is in fully attaining CCS technology, Mr. Yamagata says, “We're probably a couple of decades or less depending on how aggressive everyone is.” The full video and transcript can be accessed on E&E’s
website. Mr. Yamagata is also a Partner at Van Ness Feldman, LLP.
