An article in Biofuels Digest references Curt Rich's presentation at the Algal Biomass Summit in San Diego this October on the state of bioenergy legislation.  Commenting on the difficulty of renewing the $0.45 corn ethanol tax credit set to expire in December 2011, Mr. Rich commented, “The $5 billion it costs may not sound like a lot any more, but its real money for tax writers.  It will be hard to justify, given that there’s a mandate for ethanol usage.”
