Van Ness Feldman's Jim Ziglar Quoted in Article on Biometric Technology

August 20, 2009

An article in The Arizona Republic quotes Jim Ziglar on the expanding use of biometric technologies in both the public and private sectors.  “Businesses or government agencies that require a high level of security often use a combination of biometrics, such as iris scans and fingerprinting,” says Mr. Ziglar.  Regarding hospitals specifically, Mr. Ziglar notes that “Medical facilities are using biometric scans to ensure that only authorized employees enter restricted areas and to match patients with their prescriptions to prevent people from receiving the wrong medication.”

Mr. Ziglar is a senior fellow at the Migration Policy Institute and retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cross Match Technologies, a biometrics firm, in 2008.
