Sean Jamieson assists clients with matters relating to natural gas, electricity, transportation, and policy.  Since joining the firm, Sean has provided counsel regarding FERC proceedings, including compliance mechanisms, under the Natural Gas Act and FERC authority under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act.  He has also provided counsel for numerous general litigation matters in both state and federal courts.

Professional Background

Sean’s diverse professional background includes international trade law, government relations, international development experience at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, advertising, corporate communications and corporate governance consulting.  In addition to being a summer associate at Van Ness Feldman, Sean has similarly worked in the Washington, DC office of a large international law firm’s international trade, energy, and government relations practices.  He also spent 8 months as the personal law clerk to the Hon. Irving A. Williamson, Commissioner, United States International Trade Commission. 

Prior to law school, Sean served as the Director of Marketing and Admissions for Southeastern University where he led a team to increase student enrollment, managed the public relations aspects for the university, and served as chief speechwriter for the president of the university. Sean also advised Fortune 500 legal executives on matters related to corporate governance restructuring, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 implementation, and other legal department management challenges in his customized research capacity at the General Counsel Roundtable.  Lastly, Sean served as the Youth Liaison Manager for the award-winning truthsm brand media campaign.
