Nancy Macan McNally has more than 20 years of experience managing government policy efforts and representing clients before the Congress and agencies. Her clients include broad-based national coalitions, as well as individual companies, seeking changes in federal policies on energy, environment, natural resources, transportation, and health care issues. Ms. McNally has particular expertise in the development and implementation of legislative, grassroots and media strategies, direct lobbying, public education, and coordination with other groups.
Ms. McNally currently serves as Executive Director of the National Endangered Species Act Reform Coalition (NESARC). The Coalition, which was established in December 1991, represents farmers, cities and counties, rural irrigators, electric utilities, forest and paper companies, homebuilders, agricultural interests, mining companies, and other businesses and individuals throughout the United States that are seeking legislative and regulatory improvements to the Endangered Species Act. As Executive Director of the NESARC, Ms. McNally is responsible for Congressional relations, public education and media relations as well as membership development and membership services.
Ms. McNally also represents the world’s largest health care services company on federal policy issues and has represented a variety of clients including Native American Tribes and hydroelectric interests before Congress and the Administration. She also represents Consumers United for Rail Equity, a coalition of electric utilities and chemical companies seeking legislative reform of the Surface Transportation Board’s implementation of certain regulations affecting the transportation of coal and other commodities.
