Senior Energy Analyst*

Steve Baruch provides members of the firm's Energy Practice with analysis of energy regulatory issues before the U.S. Department of Energy, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state Public Utility Commissions. Mr. Baruch provides clients with in-depth research on a wide variety of federal energy policy issues before the FERC, including electric, hydropower, natural gas and oil pipeline issues. Mr. Baruch has worked closely with FERC staff, officials at the Department of Energy, as well as other federal agencies and state commissions.

Professional Background

Prior to joining Van Ness Feldman in 1998, Mr. Baruch was Senior Legal Assistant in two major law firms where he focused on electric and gas regulatory matters.
