Evan Reeseās practice focuses primarily on the areas of Energy and Natural Resources Law with a special emphasis on the development of power markets, regional transmission organizations, and national reliability standards. Mr. Reese represents clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and federal courts and provides strategic, legal, and corporate counsel to electric utilities regarding many initiatives resulting from natural energy policy and all phases of administrative litigation.
A member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group, Mr. Reese has represented clients before state court tribunals on all aspects of complex commercial litigation matters. He has a special expertise on complex discovery and pretrial matters, including electronic discovery and witness preparation.
Mr. Reese graduated cum laude from the Tulane Law School in 2000. During his time there, he served on the Moot Court Board and was a member of the International Law Society. He received his B.A. in Geology and Russian Studies from Colgate University in 1995.
Mr. Reese actively pursues pro bono representation and has obtained tax exempt status for various entities that focus their efforts on energy conservation and corporate social responsibility.
