Meredith Chambers advises a range of clients on appropriations, energy and health care policy, electricity regulatory and infrastructure security matters.
Meredith works closely with the House and Senate Appropriations committees to seek federal funding on behalf of several non-profit hospitals. She also is engaged in health care policy on behalf of the world’s largest health care services company. In addition, she represents a British deregulated utility company before Congress with respect to the company’s participation in the U.S. electricity and natural gas retail markets.
Meredith’s regulatory experience includes advising electric utilities on compliance and litigation matters and assisting in streamlining the complex permitting process encountered in project development. She served as Federal Energy Regulatory Commission counsel for an electric utility, counseling on the full range of electric utility regulation and transmission issues, as well as transactional issues, encountered during the utility’s initial plans for transmission siting. Meredith also represented electric utilities in the Pacific Northwest and in California refund proceedings before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
