Marianne Helms is a member of Van Ness Feldman's government relations practice and manages former Senator Mary Landrieu and former Congressman Norm Dicks. Along with scheduling and managing client relations, Marianne monitors, evaluates, and reports on issues of interest and Congressional activity relevant to their clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Marianne held several positions including press assistant in the Clinton White House and the State Department under Secretary Madeline Albright. She has traveled extensively with both the President and Secretary of State and interacted regularly with heads of state, foreign dignitaries, and US Administrations. Marianne has served as Chief of Staff to Janet Langhart Cohen as well as to John McLaughlin of The McLaughlin Group; as Director of Government Relations at Denny Miller Associates; and has extensive experience in the Washington, DC, private sector.
