A Message from Chairman Richard Agnew

Welcome to Van Ness Feldman.  As we begin our 36th year in operation as a firm, first and foremost, we appreciate the opportunity to serve our clients.

Personally, I begin this year as both a returning D.C. resident and West Coast transplant.  I am fortunate to be assuming leadership of a strong and vibrant firm, and grateful for the dedication and creativity of the firm’s personnel and all those who preceded us, in building the firm into what it is today: one of the premiere energy and natural resources, health care and transportation policy, and land use firms in the country.

All of us at Van Ness Feldman are enthusiastic about working together to see that 2012 is a happy and prosperous year.  We are committed to preserving the great traditions and culture that have come to define who we are as a firm, and to expanding the ways we bring value to our clients in new and exciting directions.

The firm continues to foster and enjoy strong relationships with our clients.  As an institution, we are still relatively young but have weathered periods of significant economic transition, and have not only persevered, but have developed new and innovative approaches to meet our clients' changing needs.  Our firm is guided by the following values:

  • Provide clients with the best possible legal services and overall strategic advice,
  • Take care of your family and friends, and all of the people at the firm, who are part of our extended family and;
  • Maintain good humor in even the most difficult circumstances.

These principles will continue to serve as our compass as we navigate a path into the future.  We look forward to the possibility of sharing part of that journey with you.  On behalf of all of us, welcome to Van Ness Feldman
