Ben Yamagata Testifies Before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Carbon Capture and Sequestration

Van Ness Feldman's Ben Yamagata will testify before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials on behalf of the Coal Utilization Research Council (CURC).  The hearing, titled "Carbon Sequestration: Risks, Opportunities, and Protection of Drinking Water," will be held at 10:00 a.m. in room 2322 Rayburn House Office Building. 

The testimony will discuss the potential role of carbon capture and storage technology in providing consumers with affordable, environmentally sound, reliable energy from coal, as well as how carbon capture and storage could help the U.S. meet its climate goals.  

Mr. Yamagata serves as Executive Director of CURC, a coalition of industry and educational institutions with an interest in promoting clean coal technology.
