Van Ness Feldman advised the Gores Group in the complex start-up of a shuttered sulfite pulp mill in Cosmopolis, Washington. This work included local and county air and water permitting and compliance, real property and title matters, agency reporting, and other matters associated with industrial operations. The firm has also assisted the company with filing as a “Qualified Facility” and “Exempt Wholesale Generator” under the Federal Power Act for the wholesale marketing of excess power generation at the mill.
